Forbes: Spotlight on Impact Investing: In Hollywood, Big Issues Can Mean Big Business

In announcing the award for Best Documentary Short during the 88th Annual Academy Awards, comedian Louis CK uncorked the line of the night: “This Oscar is going home in a Honda Civic.” His point was both simple and devastating: That for all of Hollywood’s supposedly progressive politics, when push comes to shove, big profits are supposed to come before big issues.

But the powerful and savvy production team behind this year’s Best Picture winner is showing a different way.
