Dave is Founding Partner of LAVA Strategies. He is deeply involved in advising and devising strategies for prominent funders and nonprofit organizations across the country. Over the last 15 years, Dave has played a pivotal role in reshaping the social landscape in Illinois and beyond. These wins cut across numerous issue areas, including marriage equality, climate change, civics education, and mental health.

Before establishing LAVA with Jennifer Lee, Dave led successful issue advocacy and political engagement initiatives at Beyond Advisers and Civitas Public Affairs Group.

Dave's professional background includes:

• Vice President at Newsweb Corporation, where he provided counsel to Chairman and Founder Fred Eychaner on politically significant, philanthropic, and corporate matters for the Chicago-based family office. He also led numerous initiatives for Eychaner's Alphawood Foundation, including the construction of New York’s FDR Four Freedoms Park.
• Lead Advance Representative for multiple world leaders, including Presidents Joe Biden and Bill Clinton, Vice Presidents Al Gore and Kamala Harris, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Mayor Mike Bloomberg, throughout the United States as well as Canada, Germany, Lithuania, New Zealand, Norway, Rwanda, South Korea, Spain, and Tanzania.

Dave holds a BA in political science from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
